the ride and the sound
-
Throaty
Great sound starts with these silver ceramic coated headers from Summit Racing.
-
Loud, but not obnoxious
Mulligan’s Mufflers did a terrific job with the entire exhaust system, outfitting the custom pipes with Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers. The movie Mustang had straight pipes, but we’re not shooting a movie. This car still sounds aggressive without annoying the entire neighborhood.

Well-adjusted
If you’ve ever driven a 60’s-era Mustang, you know that the front end leaves a lot to be desired. Max Balchowsky beefed up the suspension for the Bullitt Mustang, so we took it up a level with Viking Performance adjustable coil-over shocks from Classic Performance Products. The rear shocks have been replaced with adjustable air shocks, making a fully tunable suspension all the way around.

No-splash zone
In addition to the chrome export brace and Monte Carlo bar under the hood, this 1/4” thick steel sub-frame brings some much needed reinforcement to the front end. Paired with 1.25” tubular steel upper and lower control arms from Classic Performance Products, this feels nothing like the lightweight front ends that rolled off the factory floor.
