classic look,
modern sound

  • Factory Look

A glance inside reveals a factory Philco AM radio. As much as everybody loves AM radio in 2022, we thought we could improve on this while maintaining a factory look.

  • Rear Seat Delete

The backseat of a classic Mustang has all the practicality of an air freshener in an outhouse. The 2+2 fastback came with a fold-down rear seat back, which traded nearly useless space for ample cargo room. Some opted to leave the seat folded down with a piece of carpet cut to compliment the space.

  • Hidden Sound

The carpet can slide up the trapdoor, or be removed to reveal two Infinity KAPPA 6x9s and an Infinity KAPPA 8” subwoofer.

  • More Power

The lower panel with louvered vents folds forward to reveal a 3000 watt Nakamichi amplifier, a Bluetooth module, and four crossovers for the front speakers. Two nearly-silent fans turn on with the amp to maintain airflow and keep the amp cool.

  • Deluxe Door Speakers

The Decor Group interior included deluxe door panels with speaker grilles. Each door has an Infinity KAPPA 2” speaker mounted behind the speaker grille, about six inches forward from the light.

  • Hiding in Plain Sight

The only visible portions of the 9-speaker system are the 5.25” Infinity KAPPA component speakers mounted in the kick panels. Plain black grilles help with the illusion. The tweeters are mounted in a custom brace fitted to the factory in-dash center speaker mount. The brace is angled in a W shape so that the tweeters are pointed to their appropriate side and provide stereo sound, despite being located in the center of the car.
